December 4 - As South Africa's only specialist underwriter of credit life, motor shortfall and other specialised protector repayment insurance products, Cardif Pinnacle, the company depends largely on its electronic reporting environment which is why the firm has introduced the EasyAsk system. Up until now, Cardif Pinnacle used the talents of top-level programmers based in the company's UK headquarters to create and manage its reporting environment comprising two separate systems - accounting and operating - via an almost decade-old business intelligence (BI) system. Progress Software Corporation (PSC) is an international software development firm that supplies software to simplify as well as accelerate the development, launch and management of business applications, such as those required by Cardif Pinnacle for its various insurance products. Thanks to the new software, Cardif Pinnacle can easily generate insurance reports in a matter of minutes as opposed to months it took in the past, in terms of generating complex performance management and risk calculation reports. Its accounting and operating systems are now also linked thanks to EasyAsk.
